Privacy policy

Covered Paincare (“we”) operates a directory of Medicare-relevant pain care and senior-care providers at coveredpaincare.com. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you submit. When you use the Get Help or Request Information forms, or claim a listing, we collect what you enter: typically your name, phone number, email address, the provider you're asking about, and your message. We do not ask for, and you should not submit, medical records or insurance identifiers.

Saved lists. The “Save to my list” feature stores your saved facilities in your own browser (localStorage). That list never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.

Usage data. We count broad actions, such as opening or submitting a form, in our own database as daily totals. These counters contain no visitor identifiers, cookies, page URLs, search terms, listing details, or form contents. We do not use third-party session recording or URL-based analytics on care pages. Daily counters are retained for up to 90 days, with older totals removed when new activity arrives. We honor Global Privacy Control, Do Not Track, and the No thanks analytics preference. Our hosting infrastructure processes network information to serve requests and prevent abuse; it is not stored in these counters. During a browsing session, we also retain the first page visited, referring site, campaign tags, and whether the referring site was a known AI assistant. If you submit a form, this attribution data and your optional answer to “How did you hear about us?” are saved with the inquiry so we can measure which sources help people find care. When a page cannot be found, we record the missing path, referring page, and detected AI source so recurring broken links can be corrected. We do not store an IP address with these 404 records.

Optional Google Analytics

With your permission, Google Analytics measures visits to our home, guide index, methodology, and privacy pages using cookies and browser/device information. We do not load Google Analytics on care searches, provider listings, individual guides, inquiry forms, saved lists, or private portals. We do not send names, contact details, messages, ZIP codes, search terms, or URL query parameters to Google Analytics. Advertising personalization, Google Signals, and automatic interaction measurement are off.

You can decline or change your choice using Analytics preferences at the top of this page. We honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals for Google Analytics. Our Analytics cookies expire after 60 days; choosing No thanks removes them from this browser. Your choice is stored locally. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

How we use your information

Form submissions are used to respond to your request — for example, forwarding your inquiry to the facility or practice you asked about, or having an advisor follow up with you. We also use submissions to review listing-correction requests. We do not sell your personal information.

When information is shared

If you ask to be connected with a provider, the details you submitted are shared with that provider (or a licensed advisor) so they can respond — that is the purpose of the request. We also use service providers that host our website and database and deliver email notifications; they process data only on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention

Inquiry records are retained so we can follow up on your request and maintain an audit trail, and are deleted on request.

Your choices

You can browse the entire directory without creating an account or submitting any personal information. To access, correct, or delete information you previously submitted, contact us via the Get Help form, or by email at info@coveredpaincare.com, and we will process the request.

Children

This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.
